As one door closes, another one opens. And as one Editor leaves, another must take the helm. I’m happy to leave EverybodyisUgly in the very capable hands of Rebecca Stice, the talented and fashionable face behind The Clothes Horse. I had the opportunity to run into her at Chictopia 10 and moderate her panel. She’s just as well-spoken as she is on her blog, not to mention cute as a button. The future is bright for Rebecca and I can’t wait to see how she’ll lead EIU! xoxo, Kristine
I’m sure many of you have seen my face around Chictopia, on my personal blog, and as the ghost behind World Ugly for awhile; if you haven’t then, “nice to meet you!” I’m really excited to take up the Everybody Is Ugly gauntlet and hopefully to bring you some entertaining and informative posts.
I actually can’t remember why or when I first posted on Chictopia, let’s just say it was back in the beginning of this site and the beginning of my blog as well! Initially it was just easy to post pictures I already took on my blog to Chictopia, but I soon found myself caught up in the community here of like-minded individuals that quite frankly I could not find at my rural college. It wasn’t long before I was participating in the forums and building a list of favorites and generally living as much online as I was off.
If there was a single message I’d like to get across to Chictopians and fashionistas everywhere, it is definitely that location doesn’t have to cramp your style. I don’t live in a city and the nearest mall is hours away, but those factors don’t automatically give you style and lacking them won’t deny you it!
Since this is my introduction I thought I’d share some of my recent favorite outfits and the sprawling wilderness I live and photograph (myself) in!
