nOT tHAT i dint have a happy childhood, but ive always been a deconstructor. i would dye my rOCKSTAR Barbie’s platinum blonde to Periwinkle using a diluted watercolor and paint. Cut my stuff toys into three and all the unimaginable things a kid can do using a pair of scissors.
Thousands of people would hate me for murdering a pair of DMs but when life gives you lemon ,make a lemonade… Indeed, when life gives you a thrifted pair of Doc Marten’s in size 5 which hurts your ankles like crazy… cut it, slice it and pretend its one of the RAF SIMONS X DOC MARTENS collection…haha
I will be joining the hospital’s summer activity tomorrow on some remote beach and i was surprised to learn that i dont have any slippers or sandals on my shoe rack. i want a footwear that displays my toes coz its gon be in the beach and i dowana be caught wearing a pair of Havaianas. arte? haha
so i picked up the innocent boots and grabbed the knife. I nearly sliced my fingers coz its so damn hard to cut the sections of the leather boots but if you really want something so hard… nothing would be impossible. I deconstructed the boots for 3 hours and i was happy with the result. I used a white lace to make it fresher.. fresh nga ba? haha
The first time i slit the boots, i was a bit terrified. its like yer killing a mouse or some puny brown hamster but the lil devil in me commanded me to finish what I have started.
I so cant wait to wear it for summer… I might bring it to a shoe-designer for some finishing touches. But for now, i love the rawness of it. You know how i dont mind wearing a disheveled shirt, i guess that would be constant with the shoes i wear.
I thought that Im not gonna don the denim trend but i think it kinda grew on me too.
I just cant stop smiling at how I managed to transform the boots into a gladiator-ish footwear. Now what DIY projects should i do next…?
lol
