So while I normally don’t work party hats with my outfits, today was one of my co-workers birthdays – so everyone got into a festive mood and wore them in his honor.
I never mentioned anything about my job yet: I work in a photo studio as a copywriter for Barneys New York – hence, would explain why I’m standing in front of a white background, on an apple crate. After my co-workers and I snapped a photo of us wearing our hats, I asked one of the photographers to take a photo of my outfit for Chictopia. I should have thought of this sooner. I have to admit that I was slightly embarrassed to pose for them, but they liked the idea of a website where I can post my outfits. And since I think I am probably one of the more eclectic ones in the office as far as fashion, they weren’t that surprised by the thought of me doing something like this.
As for the outfit, this was the first time I’ve ventured into bright-colored tights, and I have to admit, I love the turnout. I paired it with a skirt I got for a bargain at Urban Outfitters over the weekend – $19, marked down from $58! And then my shoes… I bought these during my last trip to England to visit my in-laws (my husband is British, so I naturally hold a soft spot in my heart for British fashion). My hubby thought the shoes were hideous, but I saw the good in them, and bought em’ anyway.
I’m stoked the weather has been warmer lately – just another excuse to wear skirts!
