Everyone seems to want to say that to me when it’s windy outside like it is today. And me? I always want to smack them when they do, haha. Thankfully, no one in the Chictopia office has said it to me, so I can thankfully keep interning, since I’m sure that an assault charge definitely won’t look too good.
I originally wasn’t going to post this outfit, since it’s so similar to the Davitt Moroney one, but the camera’s so amazing that I had to do it justice, yo. The biggest differences are probably the way the scarf is tied, which was taken and mercilessly overused by me once I realized that it was the scarf tying method I’d been looking for my whole life. You can see it here.
Although you can’t see them too well, the shoes are my much-lusted-after Chie Mihara Atames, which I got for a relative steal on eBay. Happiness. They are my new favorite default black shoes, and a lady next to me on the subway today said they were the most adorable shoes ever. Yays!
And the silk shorts are one of my most recent prized possessions. Silk in the prettiest/ugliest mustard color ever, and one of my current obsession colors, of which I always have many. I’m predicting that shorts will dominate the fashion scene this S/S, perhaps as a reaction to all the skirting we’ve had in past seasons, or perhaps because they’re just so damn comfy (read: can sit with my legs in any orientation). All I know is, I’ve been buying them up like they’re about to be rationed. No (April) foolin’.
