The tribal trend for this spring and summer is a great excuse to pile on the jewelry and other accessories. I found this little tunic dress at Forever 21 the other day and thought it would look great with my over the knee boots. I mean literally this dress is little, probably because it is meant to wear as a tunic over pants, but I wanted it as a dress. It hardly covered my unmentionables. So, I had to play with ways to keep it rated G. I tried the dress tucked into a skirt. It was pretty cute, but the fabric was a little thick and bulky. So, I decided I will just keep the skirt on under the dress for a little more coverage. You can hardly tell it isn’t part of the dress. I also wanted to wear a cargo jacket with this look. I would have loved a longer cargo jacket that came below the dress and hard oversized pockets, but sometimes you just have to work with what you have!
I am really enjoying the over the knee boots from Asos. They were on sale and worth every penny. I can wear them all the way up or fold them down for a different look. My armor ring was fun to wear too. It is funky and really stood out. I love bold accessories. Don’t be afraid to play around. I almost added a long necklace to layer with my short one and that would have been fine. Yes, there are style rules, but rules are meant to be broken.
