It’s no secret that New York city is one of the world’s biggest shopping mecca. But hiding in the boroughs are all the local boutiques, housing some of the best items you’ll ever find. My borough of choice is Brooklyn, and I rarely find myself needing to go anywhere else for my shopping excursions.
Getting alot more exposure these days is the one store that made me realized just how great BK is: Beacon’s Closet . This place allows you to walk in with some of your closet castaways and walk out with a brand new wardrobe. They do on the spot buying of your items and in return give the option of cash or credit. Since their buyers are trained with an eye for quality vintage and contemporary clothing, the store credit option will leave you with a satisfying haul of clothing to work back into your closet. The prices are reasonable and the selection is always killer.
Other shops on my BK radar:
Buffalo Exchange in Williamsburg, works alot like BC with on the spot buying, they have a huge shoe selection at the back of the store thats not to miss.
Eric on Seventh stocks anything from TOMS, to Corkease wedges to salt Water sandals. What else would you need to start off your summer on the right foot? (pun definitely intended)
Monk’s Vintage Thrift: Another great thrift store on my 5th ave stroll. I can’t seem to NOT stop as I pass by their $2 item rack outside. They stock some great jewelry, sunglasses and scarves.
Urban Outfitters: This one obviously needs no introduction but on my way back from trader joes, I can’t pass up this two story store on Atlantic avenue.

Adorable!
