I sent these hand-crocheted couture goodies to my good friend Ben who i’ve become aquatinted with through school. He moved to L.A. but I am glad we still keep in touch. It’s nice hearing from those who aren’t as immediately accessible to you every now and then. I admit, I am horrible at keeping in touch with people. Which includes the frequent missed calls and voice mails from my mother, grams and aunt. However, It’s something of a new years resolution for me to work on.
Spring break is going well, I had my hair cut by my friend Mayo who is also a hairdresser. I am quite fond of it, mainly because she refused to use the electric buzzer (bc apparently her salon isn’t ‘Supercuts’ lol). One of the most sensuous haircuts i’ve ever had.
Today I was sitting inside a coffee shop working on some short stories and proposals for school. When I checked to see there was a new message waiting for me on my Etsy account. A buyer from the Museum of Craft & Folk Art and MoAD (Museum of the African Diaspora) was interested in my line of scarves (in my previous post) for their museum store. I am feeling quite contempt right now, and I am anxious to see where this leads. Wish me luck my loveliest of lovelies.
