It’s been so gloomy and rainy recently that I have had a complete lack of outfit photos for several days. The weather conditions weren’t ideal for this shoot, but I so wanted to document my outfits again that I decided to ignore the darkened sky. I found this deserted parking lot by my office and I think you’ll be seeing it for many future outfit posts. It’s quick and easy to just pull over on the side of the road, and I really like the industrial look and empty feel of all those unused parking spots. As for my outfit, I recently thrifted this leather skirt and was super excited to finally sport it. I’ve had a thing for leather skirts recently but it’s taken a while to find the right one. I had a lime green colored one in my hands last week, which would be super crazy but super fun to wear, but it was $14.00, so I opted instead for the more modest black one for $5.00. I think it was my good luck charm, too, because I went bowling with friends while wearing it, and I think I had at least 5 strikes in two games. When I came out of the house to meet my friends for the evening, they immediately said, “You look like you’re dressed up for Epic!” Epic is this techno-club in downtown Minneapolis; definitely not my scene. Apparently vintage black leather skirts mean clubbing? I think I missed the memo on that one. I did wear this to work though…is this totally work inappropriate?
Thanks so much to Elizabeth of Delightfully Tacky!!! She recently asked me to be her new Blogger of the Moment, and I just was grinning ear to ear when I received her email. It’s so flattering when one of your favorite bloggers asks to interview you! You can read the feature here.
And, then, of course, there’s always my blog: time enough for drums.

Really cute outfit Missy
