Today I awoke extremely excited because I have not been able to enjoy a quiet Sunday off here in Chicago in about 2 months! I have been out of town and busy every Sunday since Thanksgiving! That is a long, long time. So I decided to run a lot of errands, enjoy a Latte while shopping at Target and utilizing my friend James’ tripod to take pictures for this very day. Why is it every time I go to Target, I go in with a list and leave spending well over $100! It’s like a vortex, I don’t remember picking up that many items but sure enough when I go, I leave with many many bags. Oh Target, how you hypnotize me!
I am using today to catch up on posts I’ve been meaning to write. Not to mention, catching up on my favorite blogs and fashion sites and get excited for the spring season. There are so many collections that I can’t wait for. Not that I can really afford them but inspiration is always a plus. I need some inspiration right now. Usually, just walking down the street in Chicago you come across so many lovely ladies with such great style. Since the winter months, it’s all so bundled up, I can’t see any of the street fashion I love so much. So online I go! So many vintage gals with such different takes on how to put together their recycled wardrobes. Love it!
I got really excited when I went to my closet this morning to get dressed. I knew exactly what I was going to wear. I bought this adorable little 1950’s junior’s dress while in San Francisco. I haven’t been able to wear it yet because the temperature hasn’t allowed me too. But last night I checked the weather forecast and it was to be slightly rainy and upper 40’s. Some people might think this to be a yucky day, but that feels like spring to us Chicagoans! My new dress was a perfect water print of greens and blues, fitting for a rainy day.
So here is my Sunday!

cute dress!
