Ever since I spotted the Kova&T lace leggings on the bunnyhug website I wanted to see if I could create the look for less.
In all honesty, even though the Kova&T leggings are very gorgeous, they do look a bit like a thick pair of footless tights & at £85 I think they are outrageously overpriced for what they are.
I wanted to use a fabric that was stretchy but with structure & with a peek-a-boo element & I settled for this black stretch broderie anglaise for £1.50 per metre.
I took the pattern using an old pair of my fave H&M leggings, I used my ordinary sewing machine, went over all the seams twice & it took just over an hour from start to finished product.
They are very comfy, fit like a dream & cost me under £1.50 to make.
So what’s the verdict, have I succeeded in creating the look for less or should I keep trying?
