one more month in Berlin before I take the plane to Los Angeles. Will be the first time in the USA for me, I’m pretty excited. Despite my wishes and my usual self-portrayal, I’m no jet-setter at all. I usually get sick on the first day and puke my guts out for the rest of the trip. Or at least I get lost in the underground, lose credit cards, forget my address or buy things I never wear. So, this three month will bring me some gray hair.
Yesterday, or was it the day before?, I watched a great film: “Harry and Son” (directed by Paul Newman). The synchronization was horrible, but the script was quite good, and of course, Paul Newman, who plays the lead himself, is a feast for the eyes, still in his late fifties.
And on Tuesday, I was on a concert. The Rumble Strips turned the crowded Bang Bang Club into a wild party circus. And the Berlin-based Band “The Gecko” who supported them really impressed me, too. Apart from that I was shocked how many kids were there. The average age must have been 16 (maximum). I felt like a boring old woman.
But to today’s outfit: I wear super-comfy black and white vintage leggings, a vintage shirt (yes, this is Marilyn Monroe on the print, and moreover there are pink pumps, tea cups, dice, Champaign glasses, red lips, cup cakes and cigarettes), a hooded GAP cardigan, H&M sneakers and a wonderful white 80s egg shape leather coat. And right now, I’ll drink some more coffee because I got up at 8 today – for the first time in ages.
