I’m back from Austin, a little lighter in the wallet but with plenty to show for it. First stop: a giant Target on the side of the highway. This Rodarte for Target dress (which had been in the back of my mind since December) was just sitting all alone on the sale rack at half price, so of course I had to take it home with me. Also new (if it isn’t obvious already) – these glasses. They’re not everybody’s cup of tea (my friend: “I don’t even recognize you anymore!”) and they’re probably over the hill by this point, but I like them. They look good on me and they’re fun to wear and they’re a good conversation piece and everybody wants to try them on. And they were cheap, too, which never hurts.
OK, now, BD It Girl time! The way I see it, I’d be a good “it girl” because I like to take risks and I have a sense of humor about fashion. I’ve worn some pretty crazy stuff in the past and I love really dramatic pieces like this dress and these INSANE shoes…and some goofy items too, like these glasses. But I never take anything too seriously – today this smartass in my English class said my necklace (see closeup) looked like puke. And he actually was kind of right. Fashion is supposed to be fun, and maybe sometimes it can make you laugh. Like that really flattering last photo where I’m practicing my roar – No self-respecting fashion blogger would post that. But like I said, I never take myself too seriously.
Oh shit I almost forgot: More at raised by wolves. It’s been too long.

Love it!!
