Hello everyone.=)
This was me when we visited the famous Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi (Capital of UAE) after new year. Had dinner, and walked around the hotel. And you can just imagine my face when i saw ash trays on the tables in one of their lounge areas. I thought how come you can smoke in an oh so nice place like this and not in starbucks inside the mall? Dubai is not a smoker friendly city and i think it’s alright as i also wouldnt like inhaling other people’s poison especially if im not a smoker. And even smokers find others’ smoke disgusting. So finding this cozy lounge area with ash trays on the tables, i was orgasmic. I sat down and smoked 2 sticks. But i was uneasy, i still didnt have a good shot of the lit palace. They’re famous for lighting their famous building and in changing colors, i was determined to get the purple one. So when we decided to leave, i told the Mr. to go get the car and i’ll walk out and go outside and try to convince the guards to allow me to take photos. He told me it might not work but he also knew i had to try or i’ll be miserable. So i went, running in high heels because i didnt have much time, the Mr. wont be allowed to park anywhere and i will have to jump into the car when he gets to the fountains (infront of the palace). One of guards was filipino, so i thought i had a chance. And he was standing in the middle of the driveway controlling the traffic. I asked him and he said okay, just watch the cars coming and going. So i stood in one place and shoot endlessly till the Mr. arrived. I had about 6 minutes and about 200 shots.=) If you’re interested, they’ll be in my blog very soon as i think im almost done uploading old photos.=)
Wearing my hardworking jacket and shoes. I remember telling you that these Guess babies are pain free, i can wear them all day and can still walk properly by the time we’re home. My other shoes are fine for about 5 to 6 hours, after that i will be asking the man to get me home fast.
I would like to thank the very few people who come and visit me almost everyday, no matter what i am wearing and no matter what song im listening to (which obviously shows the mood). But today is better though i didnt go out and just stayed home. Spent the whole day watching Nat Geo Wild and altering some 2nd hand clothes i’ve bought months ago. Will hopefully wear them this coming spring. I cant buy anything for 2 months and it’s not easy. But the Mr. got me some stuff from asos so im quite excited to see them. He only allowed me to choose 7 and he said he’ll pick the other 7, and he also didnt allow any more blazers. But i begged him to let me get one at least, so i got this white lace blazer and i hope it will look as pretty as it is on the model.
So forgive me for these sets of old photos/boring outfits and hopefully i can show you some interesting ones when he gets back. I dont have my photographer for a week, i also dont have anything much to do outside so i dont go out much. So yes, i hope you like what i can share today.=)
