So this Valentine’s Day was spent with my amazing friend Ally: she’s so full of love, and with all of the the guy drama she’s been dealing with lately, I wanted to let her know that I’m here whenever she needs a friend, and that I love her so much! Happy Valentine’s Day Ally!
We spent Sunday evening together and watched Breakfast at Tiffany’s while hoarding Girl Scout Cookies. I don’t really mind that I don’t have a boyfriend for Valentine’s Day, I’m not one to be bitter about something like that, so it was great to spend it with people I cared about.
I was a little afraid after I bought this skirt, that I wouldn’t be able to style it. I almost returned it, but in the end I decided that since I liked it so much that I would find some way to make it work. I really do love it, and it reminds me of the tulle skirts I used to wear to ballet class when I was seven years old. :] To stay within my comfort zone, I paired it with my favorite cardigan (he even has a name!), one that I wear entirely too much. I bought it only a year and a half ago, and I’ve already had to sew back on two of the buttons and mend several holes in the sleeves. My mother, who does my laundry, is constantly complaining that it’s in the laundry basket every week. But I love him, his name is Christopher, and he is pretty much my favorite thing in the entire world. And I love these boots, but they’re just not warm so I scrunched up some knee socks to keep my feet cozy.
Of course, the skirt, gorgeous beaded top, sweater, and clock necklace are all from Forever 21. As a student with a non-existent budget, F21 is my savior. The clearance section is my go-to for new pieces; the entire store is completely affordable, so the sales are actually just icing the cake…or should I say Valentine’s cupcakes! God, I’m so corny.

LOVE THIS! pretty skirt & tights!
