Hello everyone! =)
Hope u had a great day.
This might be a bit late but i wanted to do my tribute to the great Lee Alexander McQueen today. I havent seen this jacket for months as I gave it Sonia (my seamstress) before i left for Dubai. It was small size but since i lack curves in the chest area, that part was a bit loose. I thought fine, i can wear bra! So i wore it once and wore my most useful bra (something with nice shape even if there’s nothing “inside”!) Oh i can’t stand it. I keep fixing the straps! The Mr. made fun of me the whole day, telling me im like a new woman, that had sex change! He knows that i am fundamentally a man, my father treated me like a boy that’s why. Anyway, so i decided to give it to Sonia, she’s the only one i trust (i have 3 tailors, the other 2 are old men, they’re fine but they rush.) to touch “sensitive/complicated” pieces for i know she will not destroy it. I do sew but by hand, yes, by hand as i dont have a machine yet. It’s one thing the Mr. wants to get me because he sees me struggle and it is quite slow though it is, for me, more intimate and personal, like, “yeah, look, i did that by hand” thing. But i refuse to get it now because we’re planning to move. That’s also the reason why he wouldnt buy be a bike! =‘( He said i can run for now. =’( Anyway, yes, so when i heard that we’ve lost him (Lee), i felt frustrated because that jacket is the only McQueen i have. I saw some gorgeous leggings and scarves by him but as you know i cant buy anything till end of March. Plus i didnt think i can spend $300 on a small scarf and $900 on leggings. So i guess it’s a good thing i am broke so i can actually wait till they are on sale. So i called Sonia and asked her to work on the jacket and leave the ones i asked her to do first. They can wait. To be sure, i went there today and sat in her place and told her im not leaving unless im wearing the jacket on the way home. So i got it and wore it when i took the girls out for a meal (the Mr. has Rotary meeting which they do in Hyatt and he eats there.) It’s our chance to eat unhealthy yummy food.=) I hope you like it, Sonia made sure it still looks the same.=) Shoes are from H&M, and pearls from Accessorize. It’s the first time i wore this necklace as i have been busy wearing the one with chains. Earrings, ring and bow headbandfrom Accessorize as well, my favourite bling store. And you know the rest.=)
So yes, a tribute to the amazing Alexander McQueen, the hooligan of british Fashion. And like losing Michael Jackson, the fashion world will never be the same again……
