This is what I wore to the Chictopia 10 Social Influence Summit in New York! I originally had something more minimal and “new york” picked out, but I put it on and it just did not feel “me,” so I did my usual top/belted skirt/tights thing and felt very comfy.
I ended up leaving for a couple hours during Chictopia10 to go up to Bryant Park to see the Academy of Art University’s grad school fashion show in the tents. It was really incredible to be in the tents, at a real fashion show and I’m so glad I decided to skip part of the Chictopia conference. Overall, I think the conference was good. There was some good information and it was fun to meet a bunch of bloggers who we’d definitely not meet in person otherwise. Unfortunately, the venue was completely wrong for the event, there were tons of technical difficulties, and we really didn’t have any time to mingle with the other bloggers (though it would’ve been difficult as the whole room was full of chairs with barely any room to move around). Hopefully next time the kinks get worked out, because Chictopia is such a great community, they deserve a wonderfully planned event! I’m know tons of extremely talented Chictopians who would be willing to volunteer their time to event planning/logistics/etc to make the conference a really high quality one.
That having been said, it was so great to come here and meet so many amazing people! I definitely made the right decision coming here to NYFW!
