So magazines are telling me it’s fall. Hmm… interesting. I don’t think I could be sweating more.
Regardless, I thought I’d be rebellious and do a fall trend post despite the sweltering heat. Personally, I can’t wait until the weather cools down so I can play around with more black on black layering.
A lot of Chictopia girls these days are wearing black. But maybe some better than others? What is it about this color that both scares and excites people all at the same time? I don’t know… that’s like way too existential. I’m listening to Leona Lewis right now and losing credibility by the minute.
Anyways, here are some black must haves this season:
Black torn stockings – don’t throw them away!!! Itzel shows us that it can make or break an outfit by adding an unexpected touch. And, she looks fetch.
Black moto jacket – OH the many virtues of a black moto jacket. I can’t tell you enough how key this is. Check out uuu’s amazing rendition of this but turning her jacket upside down. Awesome.
Black cape/ drape – black on black draping/layering and things that just fall loose on the body is something to play with for those who want to experiment like Style Icon this month Carolina.
Black oversized scarf – Vanillascented also does a really great job breaking up her all black outfit with a shot of white. When you are dark haired, wearing all black can get a little heavy. A shot of white or color can help alleviate this problem.
Black studded anything – like these babies. One can dream. For now I will probably be wearing my studded Tripp NYC booties I got from Trash & Vaudeville. I have missed them dearly.
