On January 1, 2009, while visiting my family at Disneyland (the most magical place on earth, of course!), I was posing for a photo with my friends, decked out with our princess crowns (LOL!), right in front of Sleeping Beauty?s Castle. All of a sudden, I heard a familiar voice… my heart dropped as I saw my best friend Jacob part through the crowd dressed as Prince Charming! He was singing a song he wrote especially for me, calling me his “sleeping beauty”, letting me know my time had come! Kneeling before me in front of my family, friends, and literally hundreds of people, he asked for my hand in marriage! And I said… YES!!!
As the crowd cheered, he swept me off my feet and whispered in my ear that for four years, he had secretly been in love with me. It all started with our ?rst drum lesson; Jacob was a gifted musician and kindly offered to give me lessons for free! From that day on, love began to blossom in our hearts. Our friendship grew as did our love, although it remained unspoken. But good things come to those who wait, and boy, that waiting sure paid off!
As my engagement gift, he gave me a personally designed, one-of-a-kind hot pink drumset and a glittery, purple electric guitar! And this is why my husband Jacob ROCKS MY WORLD! Dreams really do come true!
