I guess my fashion aesthetic is something like: fairytale princess lost in the city. It’s definitely a reflection of the inner me; dreamy and romantic, but doing my best to enjoy the fast-paced modern life we’re all living.
I like things to tell a story, be it a vintage piece living a whole new life, a hand-stitched skirt from India or a high street dress like this, that absolutely demands to be worn in a sunny reading room. I need my clothes to reflect how I feel that day, and what I’m doing.
I live a real life; I work full time with disabled teenagers and my outfits are always rooted in this practical, city life – chunky shoes, huge bags & warm layers. I really don’t believe in ‘work clothes’ and ‘home clothes’ – my style is a huge part of me, and cutting it off Monday to Friday is unthinkable!
