many of the FABULOUS people here on chictopia have been complimenting me on my hair, and i just want to say thank you for your amazing responses!! so, i’ve decided to do a post on how-to curl your hair in 10 minutes!
i’ve recently graduated a year and a half early from high school, but while i was in school i woke up at 6:30 every single morning in order to primp myself, and get to class on time. in order to maximize sleep time and minimize hair & makeup time, i started using hot rollers!
while they may seem a bit ‘grandma’ (because they are), they really work! you can buy a set of hot rollers at any local drug store for $20-$30 depending on the brand.
1. just plug them in and let them heat up for 5 minutes while you’re putting your clothes on.
2. take a section and just wrap it around the cylinder then clip it so it will stay in place.
3. continue until you’ve wrapped all of your hair around the cylinders. it’ll get easier the more you practice!
4. leave them in for about 10 minutes, or until they cool off. (you can take them out whenever, the longer you leave them in, the more likely your curls will stay in tact throughout the day.)
5. unclip a section, and gently unwrap your hair from the piece.
6. spray with hairspray! voila!!
here are some tips for getting simply gorgeous curls!
1. NEVER blow-dry your hair!! not only does it create breakage and split ends, but if you use appliances on a daily basis, it adds unneccessary heat to your already damaged hair. instead, shower at night and just let it air dry while you sleep.
2. splurge on moroccan oil! it’s $80 for a large bottle but it is literally magic. please. take my advice and get some! (miley cyrus uses it…LOL!!!)
3. don’t brush your hair if you can help it. i just let mine find my natural part on the side and then i smooth it out with my fingers. also try not to pull it back in a ponytail. the hair elastic will break your hair!
keep me updated if you use any of these tips!! xoxoxo

LOVE your shirt in the 2nd photo.
