The seventies is one of my favorite era’s, all the free love, long flowing hair, and disco dresses! One of the biggest reasons I am drawn to the seventies is my mother. She looked so beautiful with her crop tops, bell bottoms and long blonde hair. In this outfit I was channeling my mother. These new sunglasses from Forever 21 are a exact replica of a pair my mother had growing up. Also, this gold head piece from Spanish Moss Vintage (a great store for 70’s style) helped me get her look (although my mother often wore flowers). After playing dress up I decided I want more pendant necklaces and vintage rings for my upcoming birthday. Luckily, House of Harlow 1960 has two amazing pendant necklaces that I have been drooling over!
I did not make “Style Icon” this month and although initially I was disappointed I thought about the readers and fans I have and felt lucky to have you all and that bottom line that is what matters. It can be hard not to get distracted by contests and competition and forget why you started doing this in the first place. So, thank you for all the support and I love you!

ive been catching myself getting down about not being the most popular gal on the block . but you summed it up perfectly! i love that a lot of your outfits have a long thought process behind them. makes it more interesting to read than someone merely leaving their blog link
