Hello everyone.=)
It’s our last day and i want to give you my favourite outfit in my whole stay in the UAE. Taken a week ago on one of our lunches by the creek, in the The Boardwalk/yacth club next to the Park Hyatt. It’s the same place where we had new year. They have this nice boat-like restaurant over looking the skyscrapers of new Dubai, surrounded by yachts (the Mr. loves boats and though he doesnt own one, just the sight of them really really relaxes him) and brave seagulls fly over you head and one really snatched the husband’s french fries!! Less than an inch to his mouth! That was a good laugh..=) So it became one of our favourite “sit down, relax, have tea” place. We usually go there at around 12, have lunch and stay wait for sunset. So i have loads of photos of seagulls!!! A frustrated wildlife photographer!
Anyway, yes, this is my favourite outfit in the whole holiday period. Nothing super special, just my favourite “sun” outfit. High waisted shorts, flats, floral, and oversized sunnies, and obviously my favourite bag at the moment.=)
The shirt, ah i love love love it. I love florals and when i saw this i can already imagine pairing it with so many of my things so i hope you like it because i will surely wear it down. You’ve met the shorts.Flats from topshop. I first bought them in silver but after wearing them for a whole day without hurting my feet, i ran back to Topshop and took these black version. The sunglasses is by Chanel. I fell inlove with it months and months before the holiday, seeing the ad in my Russian magazines. So like the bag, i went Chanel Pearl hunting. The Mr. liked it (obviously because of the pearls) so he bought it for me though he didnt like the fact that it wasnt $20. And you know the bag.
Flying back tonight and i still havent finished packing. When we come to Dubai, i always take a small bag, just the hand carry cuz i know i’ll buy things and he’ll shout at me for extra baggage. We bought 3 huge luggage bags this morning and it is embarrassing because though he bought some stuff, he’s going back with the same hand carry size luggage. So he’d give me that “ah…bad traveller” look, shaking his head, watching me trying to pack, trying very hard, putting them in the bag and taking them out again, and again. But the thing is i am a very very good packer. There’ll be no space for air in the bag, all spaces occupied. My 2 hats from H&M housed scarves! My shoes, my bags, nothing was empty. But it’s not the packing, it’s the number of things i’m trying to fit in the bag. I started at 8, folding things and categorizing them, bags arrived at 10. And i am not having breakfast,lunch, snack or tea, unless i’m done. Right now, im having my cigarette break so i thought i’d do chictopia, while the husband is downstairs having coffee and reading his beloved newspaper, leaving me here to struggle. He said “Will you be ok?” He said that while i was sitting on the first luggage bag,trying to press the stuff down for more space, it wouldnt close!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And i said “I’m fine, look,im surrounded with clothes and bags and shoes!!” The room is a mess.And i mean MESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!! And oh, my magazines…(sobbing) i will have to leave all of them.(Bought at least 3 a day.They’re my bible.) And now they’re outside our door, ready to be picked up by the cleaner. I had to go down to the reception and really talk to someone and asked them to not throw away the magazines, i said, they’re up to date, you can use them in the coffee shop/lobby. And he said yes, thank you. I hope he’d really do that.
Ok, i have 2 more bags to work on, and i’m starving….
And i would like to thank you guys, thank you. You allowed me to have a holiday and continued to support the few photos i was able to post. That means so much. Thank you…Thank you…
