i want to go to the chictopia 10 conference in new york city. and this is why:
#1. i’ve dreamed of nyc since age 7. since reading the baby-sitters club series in its entirety and envying stacey mcgill’s glamorous life.
#2. i’ve been obsessed with fashion since age 10. since i bragged to my 5th grade class that i’d be a fashion designer when i grew up.
#3. i remember crying when gianni versace died (i was 11).
#4. i’ve been an avid internet user and social media lover since age 12.
#5 has 4 parts. 1/i currenly reside nowhere near new york city. 2/my line of work pays the bills, but is as far away from fashion as possible. 3/the influence of early-to-mid-90’s versace is becoming more distant in my mind than i’d like it to be. 4/ i am still as up-to-date with social media as ever.
it’s not that my interests have changed. it’s just that the progression of life has forced me to place certain priorities ahead of others. but there are two key things i’ve always remained loyal to: fashion and social media.
and this is why i should attend the chictopic 10 conference.
