Now, for Look #5 of the Summer Finn series. This ensemble was inspired by a few of Summer Finn’s office ensembles, including the one she wears when the whole office goes out to karaoke. Are you all getting tired of this yet? I’m actually having quite a bit of fun doing it. I feel that it pushes me to dress in ways I wouldn’t otherwise, and therefore, I truly get a sense of my own style. I’ve never really felt that I had a defined style, but dressing up as another person certainly helps out when you are wearing something and thinking to yourself, “This is so not me.” So, I’m really enjoying this exercise for the bit of self-discovery inherent in its process. This is yesterday’s ensemble. I did not feel like myself in this outfit. I haven’t worn flared jeans in about three of four years. I’m not quite sure why these are still sitting in my drawer or haven’t been DIY’ed into shorts yet. When skinnies became the new thing, I wore those exclusively. Now I even hate wearing pants altogether! I’m mostly a skirts/dresses kind of girl.
