Last year, for my first anniversary with my boyfriend. I wore a white Glitterati maxi dress which you can view by clicking on this link—— CLICK HERE TO VIEW LAST YEAR’S LOOK
Provided that a lot has changed since last year like I grew my hair a lot of inches with the help of extensions, eating a hypoallergenic meal and grew as a person in general, I cannot help but wear a similar look… this time with less pleating, chicer accessories and in a different color… but generally the same look nonetheless! What can I say? It’s tradition!
There’s something so boho chic and ethnic luxe about a maxi dress with the right accessories of course. If you would notice, I try to not wear as much maxi dresses since they are quite difficult to pull off on casual hohum days in heels. Being the heel lover that I am since I am the least flat footed person ever in the world (my feet get blisters and wounds when I wear flats), I insist on getting my daily dose of heels… the higher the better, which in turn makes me stick to short and mini dresses. A long dress longs way too formal for everyday if worn with heels. That’s just my opinion anyway!
But this day! I felt like going ethereal and traded the usual 4-5" platforms for flatter than flat rope sandals in gold. It was effortlessly chic—- had I known how to effortlessly glide through on flats without feeling pain. I kept the look clean and simple and added my mom’s ultra fab vintage belt with real turquoise and silver hardware design which makes it ultra hip and takes the belt to a whole new level!
Since I am rarely a turquoise girl (people think turquoise is too mild for my fiery personality and tone), I wore my long forgotten turquoise bib necklace since it is too perfect with the belt that I cannot resist at all!
The outfit kept me as carefree as possible. If only I can pull this look of everyday! But then again, it was a special day (our 2nd anniversary) and lets try to keep it that way! Boho will only happen to me 2-3x a year! xx
