The library at Alexandria housed a huge collection of texts from the ancient world—including a series entitled “History of the World.” It burned down around 48BC and the texts were lost forever. The story fascinates scholars because of the potential—what knowledge could have been lost? How much will we now never know?

Nowadays (for me at least) Alexandria is a city in Virginia just south of D.C. and I occasionally go there on weekends. My friend Jess & I drove down and checked out some of the thift stores there (sadly most were shut!) It was freezing cold but I took a moment to strip off and snap my outfit. I will be wearing new clothes soon, promise!
***A note on my boots: these are the Katheine Engineer Boots currently on sale at Target. It is the first time (to my knowledge) that Target has carried REAL LEATHER boots. I fell in love with them as soon as I saw them and I finally found my size! I tagged them with the link to order them from Target.com in case anyone else wants them. They are incredibly comfortable and the leather is super tough! I would recommend ordering a half size up because they run small.
Thanks so much for your wonderful comments, they really brighten my day! You are all lovely. xxx
