Techincally winter just began, but I’m already thinking of spring. There’s lots a new trends coming and while I don’t know if I will be wearing them all, I have some predictions. Inspiration from runways, street fashion, and bloggers on Chictopia has led me to some neon coveting. Blogger Dreamecho (the first person pictured here) has been wearing neon socks for a couple of seasons and they certainly add a lot of spice to an outfit.
Tips for wearing neon:
-wear only one neon color at a time
-balance it out with neutrals (navy and beiges are especially nice)
-wear it in an accessory: jewelry, belts, socks, bags, scarves, etc
Runway:
Proenza Schouler and Matthew Williamson showed neon clothes for Spring 2010. Balancing neon yellow with blues and greens, their collections were also spot-on for the scuba trend emerging this spring as well. Runway pictures from Style.com
Street fashion:
In Paris and London, street fashion photographers Vanessa Jackman and Facehunter have an eye for neon looks as well. Shoes and a skinny belt take center stage.
Chictopians:
Starrgirl and Le_Trix wear neon items with aplomb. Starrgirl DIY’d her belt which certainly looks cool with rock ’n roll leather, while Le_Trix adds modern styling to an otherwise vintage look.
