I have an affinity for all things Fair Isle. I used to have a few of my mom’s sweaters from the 70s that I wore to death in high school (literally, or I’d still be wearing them), so I always keep my eyes peeled for similar pieces. I saw this sweater at Old Navy a couple years ago and couldn’t resist the cable-knit detail on the collar and the wonderfully puffy short sleeves. This skirt used to be another staple of mine and I was delighted to rediscover it the other day. It kind of feels like wearing an evening dress in the way it flows when I walk. Glad to have you back, old friend.
Somewhat crazed by the holiday sales and shopping, I sprung for this KMRii bag that I had been drooling over for months. I don’t regret my decision, though my wallet might. I’m not very kind to handbags, so I was immediately drawn to the rough and tumble personality of this bag. It’s kind of refreshing to find something studded that’s not so “in your face,” too.
