This is great advice. I also think that commenting on other people's ChicBlogs can help people get noticed.

I feel I've done everything you've mentioned, but I still feel ignored here. Advice?

I see that you have one photo, and 2 entries. Sometimes it takes time and accumulation of a little more content.

They attract attention to your link by letting all those who follow Yahoo, Facebook, Digg, etc (which is a lot!) to come check out your post.

How to make a name for yourself in fashion   Add as Favorite Photo

Leather Style, best suited for a Work
Aug 26, 2008

Step 1: Starting out on Chictopia.

As a lot of you know, many of our top users here at Chictopia have been featured by top publications. From Teen Vogue, Elle Girl, to The Washington Post, many of our top bloggers have made a name for themselves through participating in the most reputable fashion community on the internet.

So to help out our starters, here are some tips on getting more fans and views.

1. How to accumulate more fans

Invite your friends to join. Stumble your blog, add it to your Facebook profile. Get your friends and family to support your cause here on Chictopia. Every month, users who accumulate the most amount of fans become our Style Icon. Not only do you get perks like prizes, we also mention your name in our magazine write-ups.

Stumble or Buzz other articles you think are note-worthy too. For example: many of you enjoyed Lydia’s recent guest blogger entry. A great way to support your fellow blogger’s job well done is to use the buttons at the bottom of the entry’s photo.

2. How to make it into the Style Gallery

Take clear pictures. Camera pointing in the mirror generally does not cut it.

3. How to get noticed by other users

Tag properly. The more you tag, the more other users will be able to browse/search to get to you. Brands, colors, where you get your items will all help.

Post constructive comments to other users – we all know what this means, right?

Thanks for all your support in helping make Chictopia an influential community. Never did the collective power of fashionable girls become so influential, and our community here at Chictopia is leading the way in making this the new fashion progression, one buzz/stumble/click at a time.
