I like the striped shirt! Go to Downtown LA and there you'll find many cheap stores. When you're there, visit Santey Alley. Just ask around. It's within the fashion district. So many good deals there..

this is the essential chic relaxed look, and you pool it off very well and as for places to thrift, go to jet rag vintage on sunday, they have the one dollar pile sales and its all real vintage stuff. but it does get competitive! also on melrose they have a swapmeeet as well with vintage finds more pricey but still good. haha I actually know more about OC thrift stores (I grew up there)
