Its so funny to read about your specific predicament since I am in the exact opposite one! This outfit is completely expected and appropriate for my town, but if anyone is caught in public dressed as you describe, in black and heels, sirens go off and people FREAK. Different worlds.

This is another look from the Dusty Rose Vintage closet. I honestly feel like I have a split personality sometimes. Although I live in NY and work in the fashion industry where people are clad in Black and towering heels, shouldn’t I be inspired to dress to impress all of the time?? You would think!

But when given the choice out of the DRV studio I loved the feel of flanel and these amazing looking casual boots (they have since sold). I like this rustic look and feel like maybe going for a stroll in the woods with a thermos full of hot cocoa but I can’t really do that in Central Park can I? Not exactly what I was thinking.
