today was another hot, humid day here in oregon, and 5+ hours of running around from place to place in the sun began to take a toll on my feet. my feet get hot fast. they turn red, start to sweat and if it’s really bad they swell up a bit. :x it’s embarassing to even admit this as when i look around at others wearing heels (although usually 2-3 inches lower) their feet always look perfectly fine.
anyhow, by the time i got inside lovely, air-conditioned nordstroms, my toes were all red and i could feel blisters forming at the edges of my feet. always one to keep up appearances, i walked as gracefully as i could to the women’s lounge where i sat for a full ten minutes until my feet had cooled down. when i emerged my mother deemed the situation ridiculous and insisted on buying me a pair of flat shoes. i was nearly about to pass up her offer until i spied a pair of sandals, the straps covered in studs, which ended up coming home with me.
note: this is not at all the fault of my lovely nine west sandals, which are actually quite comfy, but rather my own stupidity and sweaty feet.

hot shorts!
