The one thing that is maddening about autumn is that the sun goes down so early! It’s hard to get in a few outfit shots before it’s pitch black outside. I sometimes feel off because it’s 5 PM, but it feel like it’s 10 PM and that I should be getting ready to hit the sack soon. Of course, I love this season with all my heart, but sometimes I just wish the days were longer so I could enjoy more out of them. Anyways, I was lucky to take these shots during the perfect block of time. I had to make sure I was standing right in front of the sun or else these pictures would have come out as one big shiny blur. I love how our flaming ball of fire makes everything look so illuminated.
I am wearing my strong shoulder Bebe blazer that I love so much. It allows me to incorporate a little Balmain aesthetic into my life. And I love the regality (is this a word? Blogspot’s word check seems to think otherwise) that a strong and defined shoulder brings to mind. As you can tell, I am in love with the whole denim shorts over opaque tights look. I feel like I am wearing shorts more often now than I did during the summer! These were only $10 at Hollister on Black Friday, and they are shorter than my other boyfriend shorts, so I thought, what the heck? Any way to show off tights is a plus in my book, like these that have a subtle diamond pattern on them. I usually stick to dark, muted colors, but I am slowly branching out.
I am wearing the result of my DIY project. I was not able to shred longer lengths at a time. But I ended up making a bunch of shorter shredded areas all around the bottom of the shirt. I am happy with the result. What do you think?
Well, I am off to study. What a day to spend a Saturday :( But heading off to Six Flags Magic Mountain tomorrow because I am a roller coaster fanatic :) I hope it doesn’t rain!
