I usually like to keep it short but there’s gonna be a lot of writing in this post, sorry :-)
First of all I want to thank everybody for helping me become a Style Icon! When I first joined this community back in May, I couldn’t even dream about it, actually I only found out about the whole competition thing a couple of months ago, and since then I’ve seen myself twice close to winning- thanks to you! But there couldn’t be a better month for getting this title than December, I guess I can consider it as an early Christmas present!
I am really happy that I joined this website at all, because as a full-time mom, even though I’m a stay-at-home mom, I don’t have time for personal blog and Chictopia has been the ideal way for me to 1) stay up to date with new trends etc; 2) find inspiration; 3) inspire others; 4) be among lovely people. I came across many amazing blogs since regestering here and taking photos of my own outfits made me see what works for me and what doesn’t, come up with interesting ideas and nice photographs. This site influenced my style a lot, if not to say, completely changed it. I am definitely having more fun with clothes now than I was before and I’d say I finally seem to have found myself. Thank you guys for all the sweet comments that you’ve been leaving in each post, it’s especially pleasant to know you can look compliment-worthy and inspire others with your looks when you are a young mom :-)
Speaking of looks, today it was quite simple. I was planning to wear something else, but by the time I got ready (I needed to go to the bank) it started pouring like hell, so I pulled on my most appropriate clothes for this weather and snapped a few pics downstairs before I looked wet and miserable ha ha. And if it’s not raining, it’s getting dark when I finally manage to get out of the house, oh so looking forward to longer warmer days… Anyways, got those knitted little treats from BikBok last week as I loved the light shade of grey. And although I’m not a fan of matchy-matchy, you can see a matching new nail polish from UO, probably my new favorite one. Generally, I am rotating same pieces from my wardrobe in different combinations, sometimes adding a fresh touch with a new buy or good old forgotten item :-) I’m actually getting proud of myself for finally learning to shop “smart” and buying items that go with each other in so many different ways, since I used to have I-have-nothing-to-combine-it-with problem a lot in the past !
Also, I was meant to write 7 facts about myself, as I’ve been tagged by one lovely chictopian, but I’ll do that in some other post, since I might have bored you enough already :)
XX,
Inga
