A vintage dress above the knee, a short “yellow” boots and a leather jacket. It can seems a strange mix, and in fact,it is. I can´t think up the kind of person who would wore this dress when it was new, combining it with a leather jacket, and less with those shoes. But i like the finally summe. It reminds me to other times…but don´t. It reminds me to the tipical scene of a date, when the hard boy gives his jacket to the sweet and modest girl. What do you think?
That dress real history is not so romantic. It was my mother´s and she bought it in the early 80´s. I think that when she bought it has already a vintage flair, because it reminds me to the Second War American housekeepers. In fact, my mother use to wear that dress with black gloves and a headdress when she was feeling “drama queen”.
The good thing of vintage clothes is that has a story, has been pre-loved. And the good thing of vintage clothes found at home is that is easier to know that story.
The dress used to have shoulder pads, but they was so old and wasted that I had to get them out…in spite i will buy a new ones to experiment with them next time I wear that dress.
