Hello everyone! Met up with my good friend from university yesterday. It was a lovely day strolling the promenade and chowing down on Asian food. But I think I am catching a cold. I’ve had a slight sore throat this whole week and my nose is slowly turning into a dripping faucet. Cold, please go away before the holidays, I beg of you!
Onto what I’m wearing. Despite my gravitational pull towards neutrals and semi-monochromatic looks, I have a deep-inside-of-me love for pretty little things like this flouncy floral skirt. The color combination is just right for this season. Not too bright that it screams summer, but just electric enough to light up the gray spell that can haunt this season. It will also be lovely for me to wear when I go to Malaysia in January, where it will be extremely humid. This skirt just brightens up my day and allows me to feel like a girl when I am in the mood to do so, even if I am feeling sick.
One of my greatest hobbies is looking through old photo albums. I love just sitting back and getting all nostalgic. It’s crazy to just stop and think about how much has happened since the days these pictures were taken. I remember being a little girl and thinking that adulthood was the farthest thing from earth and I thought that I was never going to be a grown up (at least not for a long, long, long time). But as time goes by and you just live life, you hardly notice the changes until it just hits you one day and you think to yourself, when did all this happen? Time flies, but it really makes me happy to know that I have all these beautiful memories to enjoy over and over again.
My mom said that I always dressed myself growing up. I had a love for ankle socks and ruffled dresses that I could spin in all ballerina-like. Those were the days.
