I finally managed to take some pics of my last love-at-first-sight: the blue velvet dress I bought in Berlin last week. I’ve always loved velvet garments for their softness and deep light effect but I only found mostly black dresses in this material so far. It’s quite difficult to find colored velvet so when I saw this amazing bright dress in a vintage store I almost screamed and had to get it -luckily it suits my size perfectly!
Here I paired it in a quite natural colour combination. You can’t do anything wrong by pairing a bright eye-catcher item with a neutral whole black if you want to put the attention on it. I’m looking forward to wear it with lemon yellow and deep red. I think it would look amazing, perhaps even better than with black.
I layered it over a black t-shirt. Actually I wanted to layer it over a lace black shirt I recently bought, but the neckline is different and it doesn’t look that good.
Last but not least: I got a vintage Chanel bag! If you follow my blog regularly you probably know how much I love this brand. I become totally irrational when it comes to Chanel. If I was rich I would buy thousands of bags and jewellery from Chanel. I’ve always dreamt to own a 2.55. Ok, this isn’t a 2.55 but it’s so cute too. The size is perfect, not too small yet not too big. I got it as a present from my mum. I was so happy when she came home and showed it to me. I really couldn’t believe it! It’s already my favourite bag. Classics are timeless.
