i really enjoyed reading your list! i've always found other people's details, lives, going-ons and so forth very fascinating, so don't worry, this was far from being "not interesting." just want to say, thanks for your kind words. they always make me smile like a goofy dork. i promise to compose some sort of list, too, but where do i start? it'll be on the to-do list. big x.

The beautiful blogger award

I haven’t posted for a few days as I am still down with stomach flu. I apologise for the uninspiring outfit but I managed to drag myself out of the house for the Youth Olympic Games volunteer briefing at 8 this morning, collapse on a bench during the afternoon and make it to language class in the evening and this was the only photo I could get that was passable.
And I wanted to make a post to thank Unocosa for passing the Beautiful Blogger Award to me. I am so flattered and honoured, and most of all, shocked because there are so many stylish people out there… Thank you so much Lily for the sweet gesture. Please visit her at her blog and chictopia account!
I am not a very interesting person, but I will do my best to come up with 7 things about myself to tell you.
1. I speak Japanese, English, Mandarin and very lousy French.
2. I used to play the trombone because I have abnormally long arms in comparison to the rest of me.
3. I only listen to MTV at the gym because I have low tolerance for mainstream music that is not rock.
4. I am the tallest in my family at 5 ft 2" (including my father).
5. I only drink black coffee (I don’t like the smell or taste of cafe latte or coffee with sugar), green tea, herbal tea (and sometimes soy milk or skim milk if my stomach feels well). I can’t take sugared drinks because it gives me goosebumps. My parents were very busy when I was young and I never knew about Pepsi or cola until I was 7 and I have never been able to stomach them.
6. Related to 5, sweets make me nauseous and I don’t like chocolate.
7. Whenever people ask me what I like, I find it difficult to answer. I know what I don’t like (as you will have discovered by now!) but I find a great number of things interesting and beautiful, for example Lily and the seven bloggers I will nominate for the award. I believe that if there is someone out there who loves a certain thing, then there must be something to be said about that thing, and I will find it difficult to dismiss it even if I cannot accept it at first.
I would like to pass this award to 7 people whom I admire very much for their beauty but as they are very popular people I don’t know if they will realise it! I hope they will see my comment amongst the many they receive!
