This is what I wore last night to Cirque du Solei’s Kooza. The show was amazing! I have never watched a real circus act before, and from my knowledge of traveling circus shows, this one was an extravagant twist on the origins of this type of performance. It was based around the magical, imaginative world of a young boy, and it takes the audience along for the ride. It was exciting, spectacular, breathtaking, comedic, and added just the right amount of audience participation. I couldn’t stop laughing and watching, and afterward I wanted to be able to contort myself into mind-bending poses, jump rope on top of moving circular contraptions, and flip off seesaws while on stilts like it was the easiest thing in the world. It really was a night to remember and I have the greatest respect for what these performers do to captivate an audience. And the music performed by the live band was really beautiful. I look forward to more nights out like this.
Las night I decided to wear my vintage leather high-waisted skirt. The Italian leather is so supple and soft; an investment piece that will last me forever. I decided on a classy look for the night, but wanted to balance it with comfort, hence, my new favorite slouchy cardigan.
The family and I visited The Huntington Library in San Marino today for a long and peaceful scenic walk through beautiful gardens. Took a lot of pictures with the best of nature as our backdrop. I wish this place was my own backyard. Pictures to come next post!
