..and so I was, for Halloween anyway! And I was the ultimate blonde, Barbie! (OK well ONE of the ultimate blondes!)
But apparently i say ‘Barbie’ weird and my American and Irish friends all thought I said I was going to dress up as ‘Bobbie’, to which they replied ‘who the hell is Bobbie??’
Apparently my northern British accent does not translate well enough…I haven’t even got a strong accent!
Would you believe that the only new things I bought for this costume were the wig and the pink tights?!?
The gloves I had from dressing up as a Pink Lady from Grease, bought from a vintage shop in Sheffield, Freshman’s, the one Kate Jackson from the Long Blondes used to work in no less! Dress is actually a long top from H&M, belt from good old Primark, shoes were inherited from my BFF who moved to Oz (so she was getting rid of some stuff!) and the head scarf my mummy got for me from HK (though I had never wore it unitl now!)
I had so much fun as a blonde for the night and I also won 2nd best costume! My friend dressed up as Lady Gaga, and she looked absolutely BRILLIANT!
