I Love Your Funny Face

I was kind of inspired by Audrey Hepburn in Funny Face. Sort of that simple chic look. I think rolling up pants looks terribly chic…on other people. Personally I think I look stumpy and even shorter in them, and I’m not that tall to begin with. Anyway I guess I was fooling around with the camera and out popped the silly pictures. I remember I went through a phase where I thought raising my arms like bird wings was the coolest pose ever.

So far sewing my costume has been progressing very slowly. After haggling and stressing and agonizing over the jacket pattern and how unperfect it was, I decided to wear a jacket my mom gave to me which has a Victorian-ish vibe, though the collar is not very middy-like. At this point, I really don’t care. My only concern is finding more red material to match the jacket so I can make the skirt. Is Halloween really this Saturday already? Sigh…
