I’m sorry the pictures are so dark and blurry, but I had to relocate to the kitchen because of complications (the door to the outside ledge I usually stand on jammed; maybe something to do with the heavy-duty wind and rain on Tuesday?). So here come a string of kitchen photos…for now. The first big rain of the season came on Tuesday in a big storm, which I thought was kind of fun. I liked the howling of the winds and the soaking wetness of the rain, and it was kind of fun sitting in class all wet. Maybe it goes to show you how much a San Franciscan misses the rain after it’s been absent practically all year. But it was fun. This is my go-to rain outfit, with the trench, boots, and a hat. I know jeans aren’t that comfortable when wet, but what really is? Wet tights are no better, I can tell you that from past experience, and wet trousers and pants are really the same. So I personally think jeans are best. Of course, I have not tried my thick tights in the rain…we’ll see. And umbrellas are so impossible when it’s windy :( Oh by the way, this is my Mary Poppins umbrella I ordered from the internet. Unfortunately, it’s really just a prop since it’s made of cloth, so it probably won’t hold up in the rain. Too bad.
The weird thing about the rain is that it’s really humid out. Like not hot, HUMID. It’s still overcast and a little drizzling, but the air is like warm outside. When did SF get so tropical? I hope it’s not earthquake weather, knock on wood.
