The Future is Now

It was fairly cool and breezy most of the day, but when the sun was out, I was glad to go without the jacket and show off the shoulder details.

My current obsession with zippered details continues. I bought this along with my other exposed zipper pieces, but I didn’t get a chance to wear it until today (the other outfit I posted today was from last weekend). While I generally can work the more futuristic pieces into my weekday wardrobe by pairing them with more conservative pieces such as blazers, there is no way any of these pieces (except for the trench) would have blended in with the power suits. That’s why I tend to go overboard and wear them all at once. ;-)

I know I risk being laughed at for wearing a Hello Kitty ring; I’m not even a big Hello Kitty fan…this is one of the very few Hello Kitty things I’ve owned in my lifetime. However, this one definitely does not seem to be made for kids. It lightens up the serious tone created by the black and the gray.
