summertime and the living is easy

…well, it’s not really that easy right now. As the temperatures rise here in California, you really start to feel the burn (lol!) of finishing up all those last minute assignments and studying for finals. I think I became a bit too overeager when I found out the weather would be in the 90s: check out this nasty sunburn, complete with the tell all mark of the stray bra strap! Shoulder burn aside, this weather is perfect for sitting on the grass on campus and “studying” (come on, you know you’re really just there to watch the shirtless guys play football). If there’s a must have item for the summer, it’s definitely the high waisted short. These Silence and Noise shorts where actually a really great bargain from UO.com ($20 instead of $80!) but unfortunately they’re no longer available. I’m sure you could easily find a pair from Forever 21 or anywhere else!!

Lately I’ve also been obsessed with straw fedoras, and a lazy day on the grass was a perfect excuse to muster up enough courage to wear this out on campus. I guess you can say that the real reason why I’m writing this is to tell y’all that if you’ve been lusting over a similar hat but have been unwilling to shell out over $20 you’re in luck! Your local Walgreens should carry them and I got mine for $8! While you’re there, don’t forget to buy sunscreen, too :D
