I probably won’t do too well with the chic votes or the comments on this post because the photo doesn’t do the outfit justice. Despite the poor lighting and horrible background, I wanted to post this outfit because I put a lot of effort into it.
Here was my thinking: the purple and gold ropes on the necklace pick up on the iridescence of the peacock feathers on the shoes, and the dark teal naturally matches the peacock feathers as well. Plus this was a way to wear my high-waisted shorts (which have been in my laundry basket for a long time) in the fall.
I’ve been thinking recently—fashion has become my legitimate hobby. Some people might think that dressing well is vapid and/or superficial, but I like to think of it as a modern art. I think it takes a true sense of the aesthetic. There’s nothing wrong with being stylish or caring about the way you look as long as you have other passions in life.
Also, thanks for all of your previous chic votes and comments. I’m flattered every time!
