queenelizabeth 's Thoughts:

So today, instead of me telling you about my inspiration…I want you to tell me.

I’m kind of curious to see if the way I dress makes sense to other people, or if it’s possible to see the path from inspiration to the real-life outfit. A lot of the time, I have a great idea but it’s difficult to translate into an outfit because I might not have the right things to put together – so it usually includes a makeshift this or a half-assed that or one item standing in for another that would work so much better (but that I don’t have). This outfit isn’t perfect, in terms of finding the exact right pieces to reflect the initial starting point, but I’m still interested in seeing if the idea comes across.

Basically, what I’m saying is that I want to hear what other people think – what’s the inspiration behind this outfit? This isn’t a contest and there’s no prize (exceept for bragging rights and higher self-esteem) – it’s mainly just an experiment to see how other people understand (or don’t understand) an outfit like this one.

oooh you look gorgeous. I think it's very native american with the feathers, the drapey animal-hide-like dress and the headband. at the same time it could be an early-civilization theme... something as rustic as it gets. but with a fashion twist of course :)

Gorgeous draping, I've been wanting a loose dress or coat in that color! As for inspiration...perhaps a gypsy lost in the desert, with sweatpants for a secret slumber party? Hah, I'll think of something a little better, and post it on your blog.
