hm, i don't really try to match colours per se, it's more an unconscious, "does this work?" type of deal. my best advice is just to play around and have fun.

this looks amazing! maybe my brain isn't working at full speed because I didn't even think of halloween when I saw this...I think it's because the orange is a sort of coral/peachy color rather than straight orange. the grey scarf is a great addition though, I think it would be equally cool with white!

you're right. the dress turned out coral in the picture, it was probably the lighting! metamerism is tricky. mmm creamsicle. i'll definitely try cream / orange or white / orange in the future.

how do you wear orange and not look like a pumpkin or celebrating premature halloween? that was today’s challenge. initially i mixed the orange with black. i was halloween reincarnated in human form. fail. so i threw in a gray scarf which split the colours up nicely. my tip is if you’re wearing orange, break it up with black, shades of gray or white. or just go crazy with the colours and pile it on (a la jil sander ss 2008)!
