Liz, one of the newest members of Chictopia’s team, came with us to NY Fashion week this month and attended Maz Azria. Not only was she able to join the celebrities inside the tent, she was also noticed by editors from Style.com and Elle.com. Here is her take on the show.
Although I always appreciate Max Azria’s beautiful designs, I have never been one to covet them, until now. His spring/summer collection was down right stunning and DIY galore. The minimalism of the designs coupled with the quite color palette was a breath of fresh air in a sea of sequins and neon. I am completely in awe of how a simple horizontal slit can completely transform a loose, silk dress. Something about the way the dresses swayed and swooshed down the runway made me really fawn over the entire collection. Even the robotic walk of the models (well actually just one model who couldn’t walk to save her life) couldn’t take away from the beauty of this collection.
I was inspired far more than I could have imagined and I am now on the hunt for a beautiful silk dress that I can cut up for spring. I can’t wait to strut around with a small slit that reveals almost my entire back, provocative yet totally understated.
