Our sweeties and funniest style icon Taghrid came to meet up during fashion week and covered Twinkle by Wenlan for us. This is her review on the show. Enjoy!
Fresh and youthful, most pieces in the collection were comprised of bright pattered floral and geometric motifs. Dusty pink, lavender, lime green, and black geometric patterned silks, tapered trousers, and of course Wenlan’s signature knit sweaters dominated the spring 2010 show. Although designer Wenlan Chia is widely known for her impeccable ability to put out the most perfectly proportioned chunky knit sweaters, the ss2010 show was season conscious and only incorporated a few yet to die for striped knit pieces. Sweet jumpsuits, flouncy dresses, and high-waisted cuff shorts were all present. The standout pieces in this collection to me were the trousers. The slouch to tapered ratio for these brightly colored pants was absolutely phenomenal. Definitely the perfect casual yet cool pants to have for the upcoming spring season. The models were given perfectly loose wavy curls and bright orange and poppy hued lips, completing the billowy and girly chic theme of the show.
