Sweetly sophisticated and sexy-girly, the Cynthia Steffe collection offered something for almost everyone. From floral cotton boyfriend blazers to perfectly pleated shoulder blouses and mint overly ruffled dresses paired with pretty bow headbands, the line presented something very fresh and feminine that I was certainly into. But it was the swishy beaded metallic skirt that had all the editors in the front row doodling check marks and stars in their notebook- a skirt that could certainly be considered a “classic” piece.
In this collection, it seems as if the designers tried to re-gain credibility after their previous edgier collection wasn’t so pleasing to the audience. As much as I secretly loved that collection when I viewed it online, I much prefer their pieces this season- especially that lavender suede cropped motorcycle jacket that I am completely and unashamedly coveting.
